First Edition Live was created from a simple belief: stories deserve to be experienced beyond the page.


After years spent producing bestselling author events, we saw firsthand the power of bringing readers and storytellers together in one room. The energy of a live conversation. Meet The Founder

Rachael Cave

As the former Director of Events at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, Rachael produced and managed events featuring bestselling authors, cultural tastemakers, and globally recognized talent. Through years of coordinating large-scale conversations, book launches, and fan experiences, she developed a deep understanding of what makes literary events not only successful—but unforgettable.


With expertise spanning venue coordination, ticketing, book logistics, publisher collaboration, talent hospitality, and live audience experiences, Rachael created First Edition Live to provide a more intentional, elevated approach to author events and book tours.


Her mission is simple: to help stories come to life in a way that feels personal, seamless, and memorable—for both readers and the publishing teams behind them.
